A St. Petersburg man is recovering this morning after police say suspects in a car fired multiple shots at him at a convenience store, then fled the scene.

Police say a car, with multiple suspects inside, drove up to the K Foods store at 1421 22nd Street South and exchanged words with Keyan Ramos, 18.

Police say the suspects then fired multiple shots at Ramos with a small caliber firearm, striking him in the right buttock, before driving away.

Ramos is recovering at a local hospital, but is not cooperating with authorities, police say.

Police say the suspects’ car was possibly a turquoise two-door Pontiac.

An investigation is ongoing.
