Police are searching for a woman who robbed a pizza restaurant at gunpoint Saturday in St. Petersburg.

The woman is seen on a surveillance video entering Westshore Pizza, 3187 Fourth St. N. about 9:45 p.m.

She pulled a handgun from her waistband, pointed it at the clerk and demanded money from the register, said Sgt. Mike Puetz, spokesman for the St. Petersburg Police Department.

After receiving the cash, she got on a dark-colored mountain bike and rode west on 31st Avenue North, Puetz said.

Police described the suspect as 5 feet 6 inches tall with a slender built and dark hair.

She was wearing a red bandana on her head, dark rim sunglasses and a gray long- sleeved shirt with a graphic of a bat on the front and back.

Anyone with information about the robbery should call (727) 893-7780 or the police department's tip line at (727) 892-5000.
