A man has been arrested after a man and woman were shot early today while standing in their carport in a St. Petersburg mobile home park, deputies said.

The search for another suspect is continuing.

Francis James Bahr, 55, 7570 46th Ave. N., Lot 175, St. Petersburg, is facing two counts of attempted first-degree murder.

Rosa A. Pereira, 42, and David H. Sharp, 46, both of 7403 46th Ave. N., Lot 208, were taken to local hospitals with life-threatening wounds to their upper bodies, said Marianne Pasha, spokeswoman for the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office. They are both listed in critical condition.

Detectives said Bahr wanted to be in a relationship with Pereira, but she was not interested. She was living with Sharp, a new boyfriend.

Officials have identified another suspect who was with Bahr at the time of the shooting, which took place just after 5:30 a.m. They are not releasing more information until the suspect is found.
