A truck knocked down power lines today on Gulf Boulevard in Maderia Beach, limiting through traffic in both directions to curb lanes until workers complete repairs, deputies said.
The wires were taken down between 136th and 137th streets, the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office said.
Gulf remains closed to trucks and high-profile vehicles, deputies said.
Duke Energy workers are on the scene to make repairs, the sheriff’s office said.
The sheriff’s office has asked drivers to avoid the area.
