Four people were rescued on Sunday afternoon after their boat caught fire in the Gulf of Mexico off St. Pete Beach, a U.S. Coast Guard spokesman said.
The boat's four occupants jumped into the water when the fire started about 5 p.m. several miles off the coast, said Petty Officer Michael De Nyse.
A Good Samaritan rescued the boaters and the Coast Guard responded with the Pinellas County firefighters to put out the fire.
No injuries were reported.
