Four people were rescued on Sunday afternoon after their boat caught fire in the Gulf of Mexico off St. Pete Beach, a U.S. Coast Guard spokesman said.

The boat's four occupants jumped into the water when the fire started about 5 p.m. several miles off the coast, said Petty Officer Michael De Nyse.

A Good Samaritan rescued the boaters and the Coast Guard responded with the Pinellas County firefighters to put out the fire.

No injuries were reported.

No more information was released.
