Dunedin bicycle fundraiser to help sick children

Four employees of the InterContinental Hotels' Group are riding their bicycles 500 miles on the Pinellas Trail on Wednesday to help build a villa at a resort for children with terminal and chronic diseases.

The riders are scheduled to start at noon and supporters can show their backing at Oak Tree Plaza next to Cafe Alfresco, 344 Main St.

The fundraiser is for Give Kids the World Village, a foundation that provides children vacations at their 70-acre storybook village in Kissimmee.

The funds will help build a new villa, which will allow more families to experience the resort.
