A driver is hospitalized this afternoon after making a U-turn into the path of another vehicle in the 6400 block of 66th Street N. in Pinellas Park.

About 10:52 a.m., Michelle B. Tanner, 50, was northbound on 66th Street in a 1997 Mercury, when she made a U-turn to head south, according to Pinellas Park police. Tanner pulled into the lane where Tyler Bonfiglio was driving a 2005 Kia and the vehicles collided.

Tanner was ejected from her vehicle and taken to a hospital, police said. She is listed in critical condition.

Bonfiglio, 20, and a passenger were treated and released from a hospital, according to police, and a minor child in his vehicle was released to relatives at the scene.
