Friday was a day of remembrance in Clearwater as the city honored the sacrifices of four officers who died in the line of duty since 1967.

The city’s 32nd annual memorial service for fallen officers recognized officer Harry L. Conyers, who died in 1967 during an on-duty accident; officer Peter M. Price, who died in 1969 while responding to a call; officer John F. Passer, who died in 1970 during a traffic stop on his department motorcycle; and officer Ronald J. Mahony, who died in 1977 after being hit by the driver of a stolen truck.
