Brooksville man accused of raping girl, 11

A Brooksville man is accused of raping the 11-year-old daughter of a Pinellas Park woman who took him in because he was homeless, according to authorities.

Peter H. Miller, 32, of 6297 Drew St., was arrested Friday on two counts of sexual battery. Bail was set at $200,000.

According to court documents, Miller sexually assaulted a girl under 12 in Pinellas Park 10 times between April 1, 2012 and March 31, 2013. The rapes began when the girl’s mother had to take a trip out of the country for nine to 10 days, and left her daughter in Miller’s care, the documents say.

The mother and Miller had grown up together, and she took him in after he had a falling out with his ex-girlfriend and was homeless, the documents say.

The girl was able to accurately describe Miller in detail, his nipple rings and tattoos, the court documents say.
