NEW PORT RICHEY — First term Commissioner Henry Wilson has drawn a challenger for his reelection bid, and it’s a familiar name.
Mike D. Wells Jr., son of the longtime property appraiser Mike Wells, filed Friday morning for the District 4 seat. He is challenging Wilson for the Republican nomination.
Wells, 42, is a sales manager for Enterprise Rent a Car. He is married with one son. He said he is committed to running a “positive and informative campaign.”
