Two pedestrians killed in two Pasco crashes

Two pedestrians died in two separate accidents within 15 minutes of each other, Pasco County officials said late Friday.

The first fatality was from a crash that happened at 9:48 p.m. on U.S. Highway 19 at Green Key Road. Pasco Fire Rescue reported two pedestrians were struck and one was killed. New Port Richey police are investigating that case.

The second fatality was from a crash that occurred at 10:03 p.m. in front of the Dairy Queen on State Road 54 and

Virginia City Drive. Two pedestrians were struck by a vehicle, and one was killed The other victim was taken to a local hospital as a trauma alert. The Florida Highway Patrol will be investigating that case.

Further details on the crashes weren’t immediately available.
