— Two Land O’ Lakes juveniles were arrested Tuesday after authorities discovered that five portable classrooms at Rushe Middle School and a school bus at Imagine Middle School had been vandalized, according to deputies.

The boys — ages 12 and 10 years old — were caught on video security footage entering into the portable classrooms at Rushe, where they destroyed books, poured paint on the floors and vandalized three of the classrooms totaling $7,500, an arrest report said.

At Imagine, a charter school, the boys are accused of entering a school bus and spraying the interior with a fire extinguisher, deputies said. As one of the boys left the bus through the back door, he kicked open the door, breaking its hinge, the report said.

Both boys confessed to causing the damage, deputies said. They face charges of burglary causing more than $1,000 damage.
