Three people were seriously injured this morning in a Pasco County crash, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
About 9:40 a.m., a 1992 Isuzu pickup driven by Elizabeth Spann, 48, of Webster was westbound on County Road 575 (Trilby Road) approaching U.S. Highway 98, troopers said. Meanwhile, a 1998 Mercury Tracer driven by Randy J. Young, 54, of Hudson was southbound on U.S. 98 approaching CR-575.
The Isuzu didn’t stop at the stop sign at CR-575 and U.S. 98 and collided with the left side of the Mercury, FHP said.
Swann was taken to Tampa General Hospital in serious condition. Her passenger, Henry Branch, 34, of Calhoun, Tenn., sustained serious injuries and was transported to Bayonet Point Hospital. Young also sustained serious injuries and was taken to Bayonet Point Hospital.
Charges are pending in the case, FHP said, but alcohol does not appear to be a factor.
