Published:

— New Walk Church held its annual Helicopter Egg Drop after each of its six services Saturday afternoon and Easter Sunday. The church provided 60,000 eggs for its three campuses in Zephyrhills, Dade City and Holiday.

More than 1,000 kids participated in the helicopter egg drop in Zephyrhills, according to New Walk Church Director of Children’s Ministries Cammie Hill. The egg drops were held after six services from Saturday afternoon to Easter Sunday morning. This was the third year for the helicopter egg drop in Zephyrhills and the first year for the event in Dade City. The Holiday campus did not use the helicopter egg drop in its Easter celebration.

The helicopter is chartered from Old City Helicopters of Tampa.

The church ended Easter Sunday with 70 baptisms being performed at sunset.
