A Dade City teen was arrested Monday for breaking into a home about a year ago and causing more than $10,000 in damage, according to the Dade City Police Department.
The 17-year-old boy was arrested and charged with burglary and criminal mischief for the crime that took place Nov. 29, 2012.
The teen broke into the house, located on First Street in Dade City, about 12:30 p.m. that day and used several cans of spray paint to mark up the home’s walls with graffiti, the arrest report said.
The boy’s finger and palm prints were found on the cans, which were left in the kitchen of the home, police said.
The teen was arrested and taken to the Juvenile Assessment Center at the Land O’ Lakes Jail.
