Pasco woman slashed in face with beer bottle

Published:

A Zephyrhills woman was arrested early Saturday after she slashed another woman’s face with a broken beer bottle, according to the Pasco Sheriff’s Office.

Sahlondra Rene Brockington, 33, 7436 Oakfield Lane, was in the parking lot of Cooper’s Bar in Dade City around 3:20 a.m. Saturday when she and Charnell Parker began to argue.

One witness told deputies during the argument, Brockington grabbed a beer bottle and hit Parker with it, causing the bottle to break. The two went to the ground and began to struggle. Brockington then used the jagged bottle to cut Parker on her face and her left arm, deputies said.

The cuts “caused permanent disfigurement” to her nose and forehead, the arrest report said.

Parker was taken to Pasco Regional Medical Center by friends before authorities arrived.

While in the emergency room, Parker said she blacked out during the struggle. She told deputies Saturday’s incident was the result if a longstanding dispute. She accused Brockington of stabbing her in the hand more than a year ago, deputies said.

Brockington was arrested at her home around 4 a.m. and charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. She remains in the Land O’ Lakes Jail with a bond of $10,000.
