A Port Richey woman was arrested after she ran over her live-in boyfriend during an argument behind a Pasco County restaurant early Friday morning, according to the sheriff’s office.
Angela Marie Wells, 31, 10131 Old Hickory Road, and her boyfriend were sitting in her truck on a dirt road behind a Port Richey Carrabba’s Italian Grill arguing about midnight Friday, according to an arrest report form the Pasco Sheriff’s Office.
Wells and her boyfriend told deputies he jumped out of the truck’s window during the argument. Wells said her boyfriend, whose identity was not released by deputies, grabbed onto the truck as she attempted to drive away.
The boyfriend, while being treated at Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point, told authorities as he tried to walk away from the truck, Wells ran over him, deputies said. He was dragged before he was able to push himself off the truck’s bumper.
Wells, who gave deputies a false Social Security number and a different last name, was arrested and charged with aggravated battery and giving a false name to a law enforcement officer, the report said. Wells was also wanted on a warrant for resisting arrest without violence.
She remains in the Land O’ Lakes Jail with a $20,150 bond.
