Coach of the Year

Rick Hyatt, Mitchell

Patience proved invaluable for Hyatt, who, in his fifth season, was finally rewarded by leading easily the deepest team in the county to a SAC title, a district title and the first individually state qualifier. Under Hyatt in the past three seasons, Mitchell is 33-1 and better prepared his team for the postseason by scheduling 18-hole matches during the regular season. Talent has always been there for Hyatt to mold, such as invaluable freshmen Donnie Gabricik and Dominick Dithmer, but Hyatt also gets one more year of talented junior Dylan Strout.
