DADE CITY - Pasco Regional Medical Center is changing its name to Bayfront Health Dade City.
The hospital joins a newly created regional network of seven Health Management hospitals stretching 150 miles along the Interstate 75 corridor, from Brooksville in the north to Punta Gorda in the south.
"Some of the best hospitals in the region, to include Pasco Regional Medical Center in Dade City, are excited to add Bayfront Health to their name," said Shauna McKinnon, CEO of Pasco Regional Medical Center. "This new network of seven hospitals will provide a broader range of services and expertise to advance health care for the communities we serve."
Each hospital is being rebranded to make it easier for the community to identify the facilities in the Bayfront Health network, according a written announcement. Bayfront Health St. Petersburg (previously Bayfront Medical Center) will serve as the flagship hospital. Bayfront Health will also benefit from a clinical and educational affiliation with UF Health.
The other hospitals in the network are Bayfront Health Brooksville (previously Brooksville Regional Hospital), Bayfront Health Port Charlotte (previously Peace River Regional Medical Center), Bayfront Health Punta Gorda (previously Charlotte Regional Medical Center), Bayfront Health Spring Hill (previously Spring Hill Regional Hospital) and Venice Regional Medical Center.
"Our patients can expect streamlined operations, better communication, greater efficiencies and improved outcomes from the Bayfront Health Network," McKinnon said. "For Pasco Regional, it all adds up to significant improvements in the delivery of care and depth of services we can provide."
