A Pasco County inmate was given an additional charge after he spit on a psychiatrist Monday night, according the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office.

Ronald Deller, 34, 3122 Krag Drive, Hudson, was in his cell at the Land O’ Lakes jail at 7 p.m. Monday when he began to argue with a psychiatrist, deputies said.

During the argument, which took place through the food chute of the cell door, Deller spit on the doctor and told him he would find his family and “get them” when he is released, deputies said.

The incident was witnessed by Deller’s cell mate, according to deputies.

Deller, who has been jailed since May 2012 on two counts of aggravated child abuse with great bodily harm, is now charged with battery on a detention facility employee by expelling fluids.

Bond for his aggravated child abuse counts total $100,000, while an amount of $5,000 was set for his most recent charge.
