No injuries were reported Tuesday morning after a car rear-ended a stopped Pasco County school bus full of middle school students, troopers said.

At 8:30 a.m., a 1996 Mercury sedan driven by Trinity Lee Hancock, 36, of Spring Hill, was traveling south in the left-turn lane on Regency Park Boulevard at Ridge Road in New Port Richey, troopers said.

The school bus was in front of the Mercury, waiting on a red light at the intersection.

Hancock failed to stop at the signal and rear-ended the bus, which was bound for Chasco Middle School, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

On the bus were 44 students, ages 10 to 14, and the driver, Paul Forrise, 53, of New Port Richey, troopers said.

Hancock was ticketed for careless driving.
