Rugaz Rescue of New Port Richey is seeking donations to help care for a severely neglected dog with several medical conditions.

Gwendolyn arrived at Rugaz Rescue suffering from a severe upper respiratory infection, swollen paws due to an untreated yeast infection, a staph infection and intestinal parasites. In addition, a few of her mammaries are infected due to repeated breeding. She also has heartworm disease.

Despite the neglect, the dog is gentle and forgiving.

"She is one of the worst starvation cases I've seen, but Gwendolyn just has an incredible spirit," said Rugaz founder Devilyn Saunders.

The dog is in stable condition at Regency Park Animal Hospital in New Port Richey. Rugaz Rescue is requesting donations to help provide Gwendolyn with medical care.

Donations for her care can be made directly to the Regency Park Animal Hospital at (727) 848-6247 or via PayPal at the nonprofit's website, www.RugazRescue.com
