Land O’ Lakes woman buys $1 million scratch-off lottery ticket

A Land O’ Lakes woman will take home more than $730,000 in lottery winnings after purchasing one of the winning tickets in a Florida Lottery scratch-off game.

Loida Emmons, 46, paid $10 for the “50X the Cash” ticket at the Neighborhood Food Mart, 11620 N. 22nd St.,Tampa, the Florida Lottery said Friday.

The “50X” winning tickets are worth $1 million, but Emmons chose to receive her prize in a lump sum of $733,560, the lottery said. She received her winnings at the lottery’s headquarters in Tallahassee.

The “50X the Cash” game began Feb. 4 with 16 top prizes of $1 million. Seven remain, the lottery said.

The overall odds of winning are 1-in-3.46.
