Deputies seek Pasco teen wanted on child porn charge

The Pasco Sheriff’s Office has turned to its Facebook page to convince a teen to surrender to authorities.

Jose Sailor, 18, 3912 Silverlake Way, Wesley Chapel, is wanted on a transmission of child pornography warrant and was recently featured on the agency’s Fugitive of the Day post on its Facebook page.

The charge stems from a May incident in which a photo depicting two Wiregrass Ranch High School students involved in a sexual act was discovered on the iPhone of a 15-year-old girl, who took the photo. The pair in the photo were ages 14 and 15.

Before the photo was found by school officials, it had been sent to Sailor, who then posted the photo on Twitter, according to the sheriff’s office.

The couple in the photo knew the girl was in the room, according to cyber crime detective William Lindsey. The photo was sent to Sailor as retribution after the 14-year-old female victim and the 15-year-old girl ended their friendship, Lindsey said.

Because the teens in the photo are not 18 and are engaged in sexual conduct, the material is considered child pornography.

Sailor, a former Wiregrass and Zephyrhills High student, and his mother agreed he would surrender to deputies on Saturday, but that did not happen, according to the sheriff’s office.
