An argument over spilled beans led to a Port Richey woman’s arrest Monday night, according to the Pasco Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to 6623 Buddy Lane in Port Richey about 11:15 p.m. and arrested Shelie Mae Gerwe.
On Monday evening, Gerwe, 40, and her boyfriend, with whom she shares a home, argued about spilled beans, according to the arrest report. The boyfriend told deputies he was in bed sleeping when Gerwe punched him numerous times in the face.
The male victim, whose identity was not released by the sheriff’s office, had cuts on his upper and lower lip and also had dried blood on his mouth and chin, deputies said.
The arrest report did not provide details on the circumstances surrounding the spilled beans.
Gerwe was arrested and charged with domestic battery. She remains in the Land O’ Lakes Jail with no bond.
