A Land O’ Lakes man found photos of his missing kayaks on a neighbor’s Facebook page, according to the Pasco Sheriff’s Office.

The neighbor, Trevor Lance Collinsworth, 21, 5335 Conner Drive, Land O’ Lakes, is charged with dealing in stolen property and two counts of grand theft of more than $300.

About 3 p.m. on Dec. 10, Collinsworth walked to his neighbor’s home and stole two kayaks, which were being stored on a dock behind the house, according to the Pasco Sheriff’s Office. Collinsworth then sold the kayaks on Craigslist, deputies said.

The victim told investigators he learned of the theft when Collinsworth placed photos of the stolen kayaks on his Facebook page.

Collinsworth was arrested Friday night and told deputies he sold the kayaks, both valued at more than $300, because he needed money to support his family.

He was released from the Land O’ Lakes Jail on Saturday after posting a $14,000 bond.
