ZEPHYRHILLS — The Greater Zephyrhills Chamber of Commerce presented the 2013 Business and Community Awards on Thursday evening during the chamber’s annual Member Appreciation and Awards Banquet at Scotland Yard Golf Club.
Jeanz and Jewels drew a sold-out crowd of 200 business and community leaders. All nominees were recognized for their contributions toward the betterment of the Zephyrhills community. The winners announced by category were:
Innovative Business of the Year: Goin’ Postal; Small Business of the Year: Zephyrhills Free Press; Large Business of the Year: CF Industries; Zephyrhills Economic Development Champion: House Speaker Will Weatherford; Leadership in Youth Involvement: John Kinsman for exemplary contributions to youth in the community; The Diamond Award: Eastside 7 Rotary Clubs; Community Service Award: Marcus and M.J. Price; Citizen of the Year and Chamber Member of the Year: Gary Hatrick, of High Road Photography and a Pasco Tribune correspondent; Leadership in Government Affairs: Zephyrhills City Council President Lance Smith; Chamber Ambassador of the Year: Katy Boyd of Saint Leo University.
Carolyn Sentelik, executive director of the Florida Hospital Zephyrhills Foundation, was inducted as new chamber president.
