Boil water notice issued for Crystal Springs

Published:

Pasco County Utilities issued a boil water notice for customers in the Crystal Springs section of Pasco County near Zephyrhills Thursday afternoon.

All water that will be used for cooking or drinking must be boiled using a rolling boil method for one minute.

Pasco County Utilities also advises residents in that eastern portion of the county to turn off their ice makers and throw out ice that has been made in the last 12 hours. Also, ice trays should be cleaned.

The notice will remain in effect until a bacterial test on the water shows it has returned to safe consumption levels. Once that happens, Pasco County Utilities will rescind the notice.

For additional information call Pasco County Utilities at (727) 847-8131.
