Sebring (10-17) at Mitchell (22-5) WHERE: 2323 Little Rd., Trinity

OUTLOOK: The Mustangs took the 6A-District 10 title over rival Land O’ Lakes, despite having lost to the Gators twice during the regular season. Mitchell has been good offensively, including scoring 215 runs this season. Many of those have been driven in by Marcus Begg and Cobi Johnson, who have 34 and 30 RBIs, respectively. Senior P.J. DeJesus has also been productive, driving in 28 runs on 27 hits. Johnson, an FSU commit who also has 18 steals, is 8-2 on the mound with a 1.90 ERA and 89 strikeouts. Chris McCormick is 6-1, and Mitchell is looking to advance to the region semifinals for the first time since 2011. … The Blue Streaks have struggled to score runs, putting up just 108 this season. They’ve been led by Ty Little and Cullen Lovett, both of whom have 12 RBIs. Jordan Baker has a 3-4 record and a 3.41 ERA to go with 51 strikeouts.

Land O' Lakes (21-6) at Winter Haven (23-4) WHERE: 600 6th St SE, Winter Haven

OUTLOOK: The Gators have received strong defense and pitching, plus offense that has been powered by the top half of their lineup. However, the team has lost two of its past three games, to Hernando and Mitchell. The Gators have scored more runs than Winter Haven (193-163). Zach Whitaker has 29 RBIs, Alex Reynolds has 28, Dylan Harris 24 and Josh Nissen 22. Whitaker is 8-0 on the mound with a 2.11 ERA. The Gators are also good at manufacturing runs, stealing 44 bases, led by Nissen (15) and Harris (13). … The Blue Devils are led by slugger Matt Saliba, who is batting .535 with 26 RBIs and 46 hits. Senior Matt Piatcik is 9-0 with a 1.02 ERA and 47 strikeouts.
