A 94-year-old driver has died from injuries from a crash on U.S. Highway 41 in Pasco County on Friday, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

According to the patrol, about 7:52 p.m. Friday, a 2012 Volkswagen Jetta driven by Leslie Orett, 34, of Lutz was northbound on U.S. 41 at the intersection of County Line Road. Meanwhile, a 1999 Cadillac Eldorado driven by John Louis Guarino, 94, of Lutz was southbound the same road.

The VW turned in front of the Cadillac, and the two vehicles collided, FHP said. The Cadillac went across the median and into the path of a 2010 Madza driven by Joanna Langridge, 44, of Indiatlantic. The two vehicles collided, and the Cadillac came to rest on the sidewalk.

Guarino was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital, where he died from his injuries at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, FHP said.

Orrett and her passenger, Kiara Zamora, 14, of Lutz, were taken to St. Joseph’s North with minor injuries. Orrett was charged with violated of right of way and a seatbelt violation, FHP said. Langridge was not injured.
