Women mix 9-hole game, networking at Golfer’s Grail

Published:

TAMPA – Golfer’s Grail Indoor Golf & Tap has been a huge success for Tampa golfers with its indoor facility and the chance to play some of the most famous golf courses in the world, but head’s up, guys.

On Wednesdays, the women are taking over.

Every third Wednesday of the month, Gals Golfing will feature a nine-hole golf and networking group for professional women of Tampa. The first event was held Oct. 16, with instruction and golf from 3 to 5 p.m. and networking from 5 to 6 p.m. Cooper Financial Services is the sponsor and will provide hors d’oeuvres from Carmel Café.

“Our relationship with Golfer’s Grail will ensure that the ladies can enjoy golf and networking, rain and shine,” said Chris Cooper, founder of Gals Golfing. “All ladies are welcome, and instruction from our golf pros will encourage beginners.”

Professional instruction is provided by PGA professionals and a swing analysis is provided with each swing. Every group will play several holes. The cost is $20 per player and it includes four GolfBlaster simulators with a sensory system that provides details on every kind of shot.

“We are excited to be the new indoor golf home for Gals Golfing,” said Brenda Sproat, co-owner of Golfer’s Grail. “It’s a great way to meet other business women and mingle with people that have common interests, like networking and golf.”

Golfer’s Grail also is offering its fall league starting Oct. 28. It includes two-player teams and flexible scheduling. The cost is $95 and new members get a Golfer’s Grail shirt. There is always a scramble format and players will take on a new course each week.
