Crews on Monday demolished an unfinished, 8,700-square-foot Lutz house that was condemned due its dangerous and deteriorating conditions.

Officials say the house, at 3319 Crenshaw Lake Road, is one of the largest single-family dwellings ever to be demolished under a Hillsborough County Code Enforcement program to rid neighborhoods of dangerous, condemned structures.

County records show a construction permit for the sprawling, partially completed three-story house expired in February 2009.

The property has accrued more than $254,000 in fines code violations since 2010, and a lien was placed against the property, records show.

Hillsborough County property records list Country Squire Estate Custom Homes LLC as the owner.
