No injuries were reported after a fire Wednesday morning at a Tampa Palms apartment complex.

Tampa Fire Rescue said it was called at 9:30 a.m. by security at the Prominade at Tampa Palms, 16200 Enclave Village Drive, to report flames and smoke coming from one of complex’s three-story buildings.

Flames were coming from a third-floor balcony and the roof when firefighters arrived five minutes later, the agency said.

The blaze was under control within an hour, the agency said.

The unit’s residents, a family of two adults and two children, were able to evacuate unharmed and were being assisted by the American Red Cross, Tampa Fire Rescue said.

The other residents of the building escaped without injury.

The fire marshal’s office was investigating to determine the origin and source of the fire.
