DANA SHORES -

Skipper's Smokehouse will host a musical fundraiser Sunday to benefit the University of South Florida's Breast Health Center.

The event, Hooked on Hope, is from 5 to 9 p.m. at 912 Skipper Road, and is designed to raise awareness and money for breast cancer research. It features performers Damon Fowler, Betty Fox and the Dirty Bastards, and Luna Blue.

Fowler performs a hybrid of rock, blues and sacred steel. Fox is a 26-year-old South Tampa native who mixes soul with funk and Chicago blues; Luna Blue is a female-fronted group playing rock and dance covers.

The fundraiser is a prelude to the Hooked on Hope Inshore Fishing Tournament, set for October.

The minimum suggested donation for the concert is $10. For information, see www.skipperssmokehouse.com.
