The office of U.S. Rep. Dennis Ross will host a Service Academy Day today for school students interested in attending a United States military academy after high school.
The program begins at 10 a.m. at the Brandon Service Center, 311 Pauls Drive in Brandon.
Service Academy Day offers students in grades eight through 11 a chance to learn about opportunities to attend one of the five U.S. military academies after graduation. It will include information about the application process and the academy requirements.
Representatives from the United States Military Academy, the United States Air Force Academy, the United States Naval Academy, the United States Coast Guard Academy, and the United States Merchant Marine Academy are scheduled to attend.
