NEW TAMPA – Hillsborough County natives Patricia and David Beebe have traveled the world to get a close look at people and nature in their most simplistic and purest forms.
David documents his travels with a camera while Patricia – Pat to her friends – records what she sees through renderings and watercolor paintings.
A sampling of Pat’s artistry will be on display throughout March at the New Tampa Regional Library, 1001 Cross Creek Blvd., in recognition of her being named North Tampa Art League’s Artist of the Month.
While many of her creations are of wildlife in the jungles as well as the residents of South Africa, India, South America, Indonesia, the Falkland Islands and more, her showings at the library will be more focused on sea life as well as the feminine beauties she has observed along the shores of such places as Barbados, Baja and the southern Caribbean.
“Viewing wildlife in its natural habitat has been my main reason for travel and a great source of inspiration for my art,” Pat said.
Pat earned a master of science degree from the University of South Florida and, prior to her retirement, worked for more than 20 years in the field of information technology.
