A 59-year-old man died when he rode his bicycle into an intersection and was struck by a truck, Tampa police said.

Rudolph A. Moncur, address unknown, was pronounced dead at St. Joseph’s Hospital after the collision at Bird Street and Florida Avenue, police said.

Moncur was riding his bicycle south in the outside lane of Florida Avenue, police said. As he approached Bird Street, he went against the red light and entered the intersection, police said. A truck going through the intersection with a green light hit the bicylcist, police said.
