A woman suffered minor injuries on Monday after video shows she barely escaped a car moments before it was struck by a SunRail train in Maitland.
The video, released from the Florida Department of Transportation, shows the woman jumping from the driver’s seat before a SunRail train slammed into the car at the intersection of Maitland and Packwood avenues.
According to broadcast reports, the woman said she recently purchased the car but it stalled on the tracks and she could not get it started.
She had minor injuries from flying debris.
SunRail trains debuted at the beginning of the month.
