Troopers have identified the Pensacola woman killed early this morning in a single-car crash in Spring Hill.

Lisa Jane Newcomer, 35, was driving a 2001 Honda Accord southbound on U.S. Highway 41, north of Five Palms Lane, when she lost control of the car for unknown reasons, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Newcomer left the roadway and struck a wooden utility pole, before colliding with a culvert, going airborne and striking a tree, the FHP said.

She died at the scene, the FHP said.

Investigators are determining whether alcohol was a factor in the crash, the FHP said.
