TAMPA — The Dale Mabry Highway northbound exit on Interstate 275 has been closed, part of several adjustments as new traffic pattern opens next week.
The exit closed Thursday night and will reopen on Sunday morning, the Florida Department of Transportation said.
Motorists can use Exit 39A or Exit 42, which is the Armenia Avenue exit. Kennedy Boulevard and Cypress Street can be used to reach Dale Mabry.
In May, FDOT closed the Dale Mabry southbound exit on I-275. That exit won’t reopen until September.
Other exit and lane closures will take place this weekend as crews prepare a new traffic pattern between West Shore Boulevard and Dale Mabry on Sunday morning, when the eastbound State Road 60 and West Shore Boulevard entrance ramps, and the Lois and Dale Mabry exit ramps will be reopened.
♦ All traffic will be detoured off northbound I-275 at State Road 60 (Exit 39A) from 11:30 p.m. Saturday to 5:30 a.m. Sunday (July 13).
♦ The eastbound State Road 60 (Memorial Highway) entrance ramp onto northbound I-275 will be closed from Saturday at 8 p.m. to Sunday from early-to-mid morning.
♦ The West Shore Boulevard entrance ramp onto northbound I-275 will be closed from Saturday at 8 p.m. to Sunday from early-to-mid morning.
Drivers can expect extra congestion and delays during the detour and lane closures, the FDOT said.
