All northbound lanes of U.S. 19 have reopened at Nebraska Avenue following a gas leak during road construction.

Pinellas County deputies say a gas main near the Regions Bank at 33805 U.S. 19 was struck early this morning during scheduled road work.

All eastbound and westbound lanes of Nebraska Avenue also were closed, deputies say, and the McDonald’s at 33817 U.S. 19 was evacuated as a precaution.

Crews remain on the scene to make repairs.
