A pedestrian was killed Saturday night when he was struck by a car that was hit in a St. Petersburg intersection.

Isaac Rodgers, 59, of St. Petersburg was taken to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg, where he died.

St. Petersburg police say Jayson Jaqua, 23, was driving a 1996 Ford Thunderbird north on 58th Street just before 9 p.m. when he struck a 2010 Toyota driven by Ave Washington, 21, in the intersection of Central Avenue.

After the impact, police say the Toyota rotated and struck Rodgers, who was crossing Central Avenue.
