Tampa police have released photos of a bicycle located next to a security officer who was found dead Wednesday night at a Tampa apartment complex.

Detectives would like to talk to the owner of the bicycle, said Andrea Davis, a Tampa police spokeswoman.

Police said the owner of the bike is not a suspect or a person of interest.

Michael Valentin, the 38-year-old husband and father of two sons, ages 4 and 9, died from what Tampa police described only as "upper body trauma" at Grande Oaks Apartments on East Hanna Avenue.

No one has been arrested and the case remains an active investigation, Davis said.

The lead detective hasn’t stopped working on the case, Davis said. A team of detectives continue to work and patrol officers are knocking on doors, she said.

"It’s very tragic," Davis said. "This is a father and a husband and it’s the holidays. It makes it that more tragic."

Anyone with information about the bicycle or its owner is asked to contact police at (813) 231-6130.
