Tampa police are seeking a man who robbed a bank this afternoon.

About 3 p.m., the suspect entered Pilot Bank, 17635 N. Bruce B. Downs Blvd., and demanded money at gunpoint. The teller gave him the money, along with a dye pack.

Detectives think there is red dye on the money and are asking area businesses to be on alert for anyone paying for merchandise with red-colored money.

The suspect is a black man, late teens to early 20s, 5-foot-3 to 5-foot-4 with a thin build. He was wearing a black ski mask with mesh around the mouth and a soft-sock type top, black gloves, long black pants and a long-sleeved black shirt with a hood.

Anyone with information is asked to call Tampa police at (813) 231-6130.
