TAMPA -

Ten dogs, four rabbits, a ferret and a bird were seized from a Tampa home Thursday after investigators determined the animals were "severely dehydrated and emaciated and starving," Hillsborough County Animal Services spokeswoman Marti Ryan said.

Investigators arrested Angel Negron, 22, and Ladarian Taylor, 26, at 3703 N. 51st St.

Negron and Taylor were each charged with 10 counts of animal cruelty and 16 counts of confinement of animals without food and water.

Negron and Taylor remain in jail. Negron's bail is set at $26,000; Taylor's is set at $23,500.
