Police will slow traffic to about 20 mph on southbound Interstate 275 from the Interstate 75 interchange to Sligh Avenue on Wednesday and Thursday mornings as workers replace signs.

The slowing of traffic will be intermittent from 1 a.m. to 5 a.m., according to a release from the Florida Department of Transportation.

Delays of 20 to 30 minutes should be expected on southbound I-275 and southbound I-75 approaching I-275, as well as on crossroads near the ramps at the interchanges along the routes, according to the DOT.

Also, no traffic will be allowed to enter southbound I-275 at the interchanges from Bearss to Waters avenues until the front of the traffic group has passed, DOT said.

The traffic change is being used as workers remove old sign structures and install a new ones over the southbound I-275 and the exit ramp at Sligh, according to the DOT.
