One of the city's oldest parks is sporting a new look and amenities. A 10-month "reinvention'' of century-old Ballast Point Park added a circular lawn and new picnic shelters, along with a small water park, coverings for a new tot lot playground and a new patio at the Joe Abrahams Wellness Center. The renovation, which cost nearly $1 million, was paid for with funds from the city's community investment tax. Community members also raised their own money to help build the tot lot.
