NEW PORT RICHEY — A 2-year-old boy reported missing has died after he was found in a neighbor’s pool on Tuesday, according to the New Port Richey Police Department.
Officers responded to 5538 Senate Lane before 6 p.m. to search for the boy, who was reported missing.
After a search of the house and surrounding area, the boy was found floating in the neighbor’s pool, officers said.
Officers removed the boy, who was not named in a news release from the Police Department, and attempted CPR. He was flown to St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
