Polk County Sheriff's deputies are seeing information about an armed robbery on Sunday at a Circle K store in north Lakeland.

Deputies say an unknown white male suspect entered the store at 3808 Deeson Road at 4:28 a.m. Armed with a silver semi-automatic handgun, he pointed the firearm at employees and a store customer, ordered both clerks behind the counter and ordered the customer to stand nearby where he could see him.

The suspect then demanded money from the register, and threatened to shoot one of the clerks if they did not comply. After taking an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect fled east on foot.

The suspect is described as a white male, wearing a black long-sleeved T-shirt, blue jeans, white sneakers, black gloves, a camouflage hunting or ski mask over his entire head, and armed with a silver, small-caliber semi-automatic handgun.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Kenjamin Libby at 863-298-6200, ext. 1237.
