Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney will attempt to build on the momentum from Wednesday night's debate when he appears at a campaign rally tonight in St. Petersburg.

Polls reflect that Romney was a solid winner in the first debate with President Barack Obama. The performance renewed energy for his campaign with about a month before Election Day.

Tonight's rally is at the Pier in St. Petersburg. The program starts at 6:15 p.m.

Tickets are free but attendees must have tickets.

The Pier is at 550 Second Ave. N.E. on the downtown waterfront.

Romney was in the Tampa area last month when he attended a fundraiser at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Sarasota.

Last month, Romney's running mate, Paul Ryan, stopped in Oldsmar to tell a crowd that he and Romney would reverse four years of "debt, doubt and decline" by improving the economy, preserving Medicare and strengthening the nation's defense.
